“There’s nothing dead-and-gone about the ghosts of this collection; they are parallel lives, ones lived, ones left behind, ones acutely observed, ones caught as echoes from the past. A thread of vivid recollection leads us through life-stages, through seasons, wearing the self with a light touch and a generosity that opens out into a world of possibilities.”
~ Philip Gross
WINNER OF THE GEOFF STEVENS MEMORIAL POETRY PRIZE 2023
"Dixcart is a poet attentive to the moment. Her poems capture the transitory encounter, illuminate its details, and fix it to the page. Here are ghosts you will want to walk amongst often, figures waiting to be seen, the selves ‘shed…at every threshold.’ Each of them offering a glimpse into the fragilities and strengths of human psyche, of life's ‘unwritten score.’"
